Humble beginnings to make a
positive impact in the world of yoga
One Yoga was founded by Henrik and Danny who had been coming to Koh Phangan for many years and had a common interest in yoga, meditation, qigong and eastern spirituality in general.
In late 2017 they met in the early hours every morning to practice meditation together. It was an intense program with several hours of silent meditation. Out of the silence grew the idea to start One Yoga.
As they shared their ideas it became clear that they both shared the same vision .
There were many yoga schools on Koh Phangan offering yoga retreats and yoga teacher training but a lot could be done to improve the quality and sincerity of what was offered on the island.
They saw a need for a better school that was more authentic and professional , so they decided to start their own school. After the first few courses, the school grew quickly based on recommendations from past students and today One Yoga has certified more than 2000 yoga teachers.
One Yoga has established itself as a sincere yoga school, focusing on well-being and spiritual growth, offering a variety of professional-level programs such as 200, 300, and 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training (certified by Yoga Alliance), 50 Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training (YACEP) as well as weekly Yoga Sadhana, Meditation, and Wellness Retreats
In addition to the on-site programs One Yoga also offers an Online Community to support the growth of their students from where ever they may be in the world.

Our mission
Make a positive impact through yoga & meditation
One Yoga’s mission is to make a positive impact on the world through the offerings of yoga & meditation retreats and teacher training courses. At the core of our offering is the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course.
There are two reasons for this.
- For many students, this course provides the start and foundation for a lifelong journey into more serious personal development.
- Through the teacher certification, many will start a teaching career and thereby creating a multiplier effect by which the knowledge and practice is passed on, benefiting the lives of the many
One Yoga’s long-term vision is to expand its offering with additional courses and retreats that will give students the opportunity to expand and deepen their study of yoga and meditation.
Rather than being a school that is based on a single lineage, One Yoga’s teachings come from multiple sources that are based upon humble and authentic traditions. Our core values are humility and respect for all spiritual paths – and the many interpretations and different belief systems of Yoga.
